Receivers on Krieger Barrels Fitting List and notes.

PLESE NOTE: Krieger Barrels, Inc. does not offer any pre-fit or drop in barrels for any bolt action rifles. We can sell you a rifled and contoured blank (no threads/chamber/crown) or we can fit it to your receiver if the action you have is listed below and we have a chambering reamer for the cartridge you want to use.

NOTE: Due to several issues with customer supplied reamers, we will no longer perform any fittings or chambering with a customer supplied chambering reamer regardles of it's origin. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

It is required that when you send an action to us for a fitting or other work that you include either a copy of your order confirmation (if this is for an existing order) OR a letter/order form with COMPLETE instruction of what you want us to do, as well as your NAME, RETURN SHIPPING ADDRESS, & CONTACT PHONE NUMBER. Place this INSIDE THE CASE with your firearm. Without this we cannot properly log the rifle in leaving us with the liability of figuring out who it came from. Shipping labels get destroyed in transit, and a return label with a UPS Store address does us no good in determinimg who this firearm belongs to.

Firearms with unidentifiable owners may have to be turned over to the BATFE for disposition if we cannot properly log them in.

When sending a bolt action receiver for fitting, ONLY send your receiver, barrel (if we are copying a contour), bolt, recoil lug, and barrel nut (Savage) as applicable. We are no longer performing any stock work on bolt action rifles and we perform no trigger work on rifles so please remove these parts before sending. Also remove any other hardware (scopes, rings, scope bases, match sights and bases, etc.) before sending your rifle. We need no more than the stripped receiver, bolt, recoil lug, and nut (Savage). If extra components above and beyond what we need are included or attached to the action when we receive it there will be a substantial charge (Minimum of $50.00) added to your order to cover the handling of these components. No exceptions.

With ANY rifles, uppers, or barreled actions sent to us FOR ANY REASON, please send your rifle/action/upper to us in a hard plastic rifle case of some sort. We will NOT ship a barreled action in anything but a hard plastic case designed and manufactured to hold/ship a rifle. We do this for insurance purposes with our shipper and to reduce the chance of damage to your valuable firearm. If you do not send a hard case with your rifle/action suitable for the return of your completed project, we will provide one for the cost of $30.00. This is not an optional service that you can waive, but a policy with our company. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Krieger Barrels will not be responsible for marks on or damage to the finish on any receiver or barrel that we are fitting. If you are building a new custom rifle please have any action finishing done AFTER the fitting has been completed. The tooling and fixtures we use are meant to apply force to the surface of the steel on both the barrel and the action to hold them firmly while assembling and scuffs and scratches can and do happen.

Shipping costs will be added to your order based on the weight, size, and value of the shipment. Standard size barrels can usually be quoted with an accurate price, but rifles, multiple or oversize barrels, and high value shipments must be quoted at the time of shipment for an accurate cost. The ever changing cost of shipping dictates this.

Due to the high volume of fittings, and in order to better serve our customers in a more timely manner with the best quality barrels and fittings, we have decided to limit the actions to which we will fit our barrels.

Please understand that actions that have been removed from our list have absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the action. In fact in some cases, the opposite is true as with some of the very high-end benchrest actions which really require a great deal of time by a qualified benchrest gunsmith with extensive experience in this area.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

To find a qualified gunsmith in your area, please visit either www.6mmbr.com or www.acgg.org to find a gunsmith qualified to perform the work you need.

Please Note: Clean your rifle.  We receive far too many rifles (mainly semi-auto's) that are caked with carbon build up, old crusty grease, and such. We do not want to return a rifle or upper receiver to a customer that is in this condition with a brand new Krieger Barrel on it, but for us to detail clean your rifle takes precious time away from focusing on the many fittings we have to perform.

Please, send your rifle to us in the condition you want it returned in.

 GAS GUN BARREL FITTINGS

As always, we will continue fittings and assemblies to US made M1A/M14, M1 Garand, AR-15 upper receivers, and Armalite AR-10/DPMS-LR upper receivers. Please do not send any AR-15/AR-10/DPMS lower receivers to us. There is no work that we perform on these lowers.

With ANY AR10/DPMS (.30 cal style) or AR15 type upper that you send for an assembly: If the handguard or upper you send requires a special tool sold by the manufacturer of that component to assemble it, you must supply us with that tool or we will reserve the right to decline the fitting. We cannot possibly keep up with all of the handgaurds offered by all of the companies that make them, or know what tools are needed until we actually have them in front of us. If there are any questions on whether or not a special tool is needed, please contact the manufacturer of that component BEFORE sending it to us for a fitting.

Most foreign made M14 receivers are NOT G.I. spec and we cannot fit our barrels to them. Some U.S. made M14 receivers if purchased in the "Receiver Only" form, also need more extensive work/fitting than we are able to perform. Please call if you have any questions on these rifles.

NFA Firearms Notices:

1.) DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, SEND A FULL AUTO/SELECT FIRE RECEIVER TO US OR A RIFLE RECEIVER WITH A BARREL SHORTER THAN 16"!!! WE ARE NOT LICENSED TO ACCEPT ANY CLASS 2/CLASS 3 FIREARMS OR SUPPRESSORS.

2.) A select fire receiver that has had the selector blocked may STILL considered by some at the BATFE to be a registered form 4 firearm, do not send it to us!

3.) We will not make a barrel shorter than 16.5" that is to be fitted or can readilly be installed on a "long gun". Please do not ask.

Non compliance with the above three notices will result in your firearm and/or components to be turned over to the local BATFE agent. We can not be responsible for what you send to us if in the above configurations.
