Paperwork needed to process Orders shipped outside of the United States
We will need a license from our State Department in order to ship your barrels out of the United States. Therefore, paperwork will be required from you before we can apply for the permit. Upon receiving your paperwork, we can begin the licensing procedure as we are manufacturing your barrels, and there should not be a delay in shipping your barrels to you.
- Import Authorization from your country. An original document or certified copy issued by your country authorizing the import of specified barrels; must include quantity. If your country does not require an import authorization, we will need an original letter stating your country does not require an import certificate/authorization; and it must be stamped with an official government stamp.
- Purchase Order. Needs to be on your letterhead with barrels and quantity specified; it must exactly match the Import Authorization in type, quantity, and value. Please include a statement-of-use on the Purchase Order. For example: To be used for sporting or hunting purposes (as applies in your case).
- DSP-83. U.S. State Department form. (See form attached.) Can be downloaded at http://www.pmddtc.state.gov/docs/dsp83.pdf Sections 2 through five must be completed along with Section 7. See Instructions for the DSP-83 also included with additional comments on a separate page.
It is very important you understand that the above three pieces of paperwork must agree in items being ordered.
Please note that after we receive your paperwork, we must apply to our State Department for a permanent export license in your name. Once we have this U.S. State Department license, we can continue to ship barrels on it until the license expires (up to four years), your Import Authorization expires, or the quantity listed on your authorization has been exhausted – i.e. whichever occurs first. We will continue to charge a handling fee for all overseas orders. Our customers who order large quantities of barrels from us will not see much difference in this fee, but for those of you who order only an occasional barrel or two, you might consider ordering from someone in your country who is ordering the larger quantities, as your handling fee for a single barrel or two will be substantial. Please remember when applying for your Import Authorization etc. that you consider your needs for the length of time that the Authorization will cover. It is to your advantage to be very complete when you place your purchase order and get your Import Authorization.
Please call or email our office with any questions regarding your overseas shipments.
