PLEASE READ THE SUBJECTS BELOW BEFORE YOU ORDER OR CALL WITH QUESTIONS.

GUNSMITHS:

You are ultimately responsible for the work you do. Please double check the bore, groove, contour, twist, length, material type, etc. before beginning ANY work on a barrel blank. Any chambering, bolt fitting (AR10 type barrels) crowning, or other secondary operations is your responsibility unless we are performing a complete fitting or chamber/crown on AR type barrels. Once you cut material from the barrel the ownership of this barrel lies upon you and we cannot be responsible for any secondary operations performed on a barrel that we did not do ourselves.

RETURNS / SERIAL NUMBERS:

The original serial number of your Krieger Barrel MUST accompany any barrel returned for inspection or additional operations. A unique serial/sequence number is stamped on the breech face of all bolt gun blanks, and engraved on the side of all semi-auto blanks before being shipped from our facility. Failure to include the original serial number with a returned barrel may result in the barrel being returned to you with no work performed. We will ONLY inspect Krieger Barrels, and we will ONLY perform secondary operations (ie: fluting, re-contouring, fitting, etc.) on Krieger Barrels. We must know without a doubt that it is one of our barrels that we are working on or we reserve the right to return the barrel with no work performed. It is the end user customers job to record and keep track of this serial number. If your gunsmith is ordering and installing the barrel INSIST that they record this serial number on your invoice.

RESEARCH:

Please do the research on your project before you call to place an order. We can certainly help with technical questions on what we make and services we perform. However, we cannot decide for you what the best contour is for your application, best gunsmith, what cartridge you should use, who makes the best brass, bullets, scopes, stocks, actions, etc. Those companies all have their own tech support numbers or e-mail addresses and they are the ones you should contact with those questions. This is research that you must do for your project. This will be your rifle.

PLEASE ORDER ACCURATELY:

Calling days or weeks after an order is placed to make changes (once or several times) takes precious time away from us being able to process other customers orders and performing the many other tasks that we have to do in the office. If there is any confusion on what you want us to produce we may ask that an order be placed in writing (by mail, fax, or e-mail) to insure we have the information you are translating to us.

Changes made after an order is placed will result in some or all of the following: A delay in your delivery time, an extra charge to process the change, order cancelation and starting over with the whole project, etc. . No guarantee can be made that executing a change without incurring delays or additional cost is possible.

Cancelation of a finished or machined and in production barrel may carry a re-stocking fee.

Please do your research ahead of time and order accurately.

Deposits:

Some barrels and/or services do require deposits. Depending on the nature of these deposits and where the barrel is in production, these deposits may or may not be refundable in whole or in part. If this is a fluted barrel for instance, and the fluting has been completed, the fluting deposit becomes non-refundable. If your barrel is a non-standard twist and the rifling has been finished, the deposit taken is non-refundable. The reasons and timeframe will vary from case to case as every custom project is different. Please consider any deposit a NON REFUNDABLE deposit. Changes to orders that are already in production may incur an additional charge for the change at our discretion. Barrel orders canceled after work has begun will be charged a re-stocking/cancelation fee based on the nature of the order and it's location in the shop.

Estimated Delivery times: ...are just that - ESTIMATES. These times are calculated based on production times when you place your order. It is impossible to predict to the day when your barrel/project will ship. We do everything in our power to be reasonably accurate with these times, but are unable to see what the future might bring that could slow down delivery times once an order is placed. We CANNOT guarantee any shipping or delivery dates.

Please note if you want a barrel, a fitting, and fluting, you have to ADD all of those times. They do not overlap. If you have received your order confirmation and the "Estimated Delivery" date is two months from now, please do not call to check the status. It will be another two months. If we have passed the estimated delivery date on your paperwork, chances are your barrel is finished or very near completion, OR we are waiting on components or payment from you. Due to the current volume of orders we have and the scheduling we do, it is nearly impossible to expedite any order or service.

ORDER CONFIRMATIONS:

Please read your order confirmation! Mistakes in translation over the phone can certainly be made when it comes to the very important details of your order, this is the whole reason we send a confirmation out. The time to notice that something is missing or wrong with your order is NOT after you receive your barrel, but rather when you receive your order confirmation. If you have any questions about your confirmation when you receive it in the mail, please call. It's much better to ask than to have a mistake made on your barrel and have to correct it or re-make it later.

SHIPPING:

We are unable at this time to provide tracking numbers by phone or e-mail for every order. If we have payment information on file when your barrel is finished, it will ship within a matter of days of it arriving in our shipping department. If we do not have payment information, we will mail out an "Order Ready" notice. This will look just like the order confirmation you received when you initially placed your order, but it will have a sticker on the top of the page instructing you to contact us with payment. Once payment is received, it will be a matter of a few days days to apply the payment and get your order in line to ship. There is no service to "expedite" shipment, especially if we are waiting on payment.

The fastest way to get the barrel to you is to pay the order in full prior to the barrel being finished, or to have VALID credit card information on file with us so it can be charged and shipped in a timely fashion.

Customer Supplied Equipment:

We will only provide fitting services on actions that you or your gunsmith have deemed "suitable" for the cartridge we are chambering for. Bolt face diameter and action length must be correct. We reserve the right to refuse fitting a barrel to any particular receiver based on our opinion of it's un-suitability for the power and pressures you will achieve with any cartridge, however we cannot guarantee or even inspect a receiver to insure it's suitability or your safety. Please see the list of accepted receivers that we will perform fittings on elsewhere on this website.

Due to several issues with customer supplied reamers, we will no longer perform any fittings or chambering with a customer supplied chambering reamer regardless of it's origin.

We apologize for any inconvenience.
